“Horizons”

Once the presence of the Independent Living Movement in Spain has been surpassed by more than a decade, Juan José Maraña wants to induce a necessary review in a political-social key, a relaxed invitation to consider and interpret the remains of the shipwrecks produced by traditional policies on the lives of people with disabiliy, the virulence of the past economic crisis or those that are closer and closer, imminent and predatory.

He also tries to observe the growing interest of organizations that have hitherto been antagonistic to the independent living model and their attitude of redefining it in order to adapt it in an interested way to the concept of the so-called “disability industry”.
